Vol. 1 No. 1 (2022): Pedagogical Perspective (June)
This inaugural issue presents 5 research articles contributed by scholars from Türkiye, marking the launch of Pedagogical Perspective as a new open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing scholarship in education. The articles address a broad spectrum of educational topics, including alternative literacies in the Turkish social studies teaching program, reading comprehension processes of fourth-grade primary school students, inquiry skills of pre-service social studies teachers, a literature review of academic dissertations on the social studies curriculum in Türkiye spanning 2006–2021, and a comparative analysis of two Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language programs in terms of skill areas, objectives, and assessment practices. Together, the contributions engage qualitative, quantitative, and document review approaches, offering diverse theoretical and practical insights for researchers, educators, and policymakers across primary, secondary, and higher education contexts.
